Evelien Dekker is a gastroenterologist and Professor in GI Oncology at the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Amsterdam University Medical Center, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. At the UMC, she is chair of the clinic for familial cancer and polyposis syndromes. Besides her clinical work, she leads a research group focusing on familial cancer and polyposis syndromes, population screening and surveillance for colorectal cancer (CRC), and new techniques in colonoscopy.
