Prof. Jean Christophe Saurin is a leading gastroenterologist based in Lyon, France, recognized for his extensive contributions to clinical care, education, and research in gastroenterology. He heads the French National Polyposis Network and the Gastroenterology Unit in Lyon, as well as the national teaching program for gastroenterology (CEFA-HGE).

He previously served as General Secretary of the French Society of Gastroenterology (SNFGE) and as Chair of the World Gastroenterology Organisation’s Train the Trainer Program. His main clinical and research interests include genetic diseases with cancer predisposition, inflammatory bowel disease, small bowel pathology, and capsule endoscopy. Prof. Saurin is widely respected for his leadership in advancing education and multidisciplinary collaboration in gastrointestinal medicine.
